Goong chapter 161
Goong chapter 161 (궁 제161회) appeared in the August 15, 2010 issue of Wink Magazine. If you don’t want to know, don’t read. I am getting annoyed at this series.
SPOILER ALERT
The chapter opens with him acting cool and playing hard to get and calling her out by saying she tries to run away from danger and extracted herself from the marriage but now she only wants just the love part? He says he has to think of the citizens, etc. And says did you think I’d just turn around and be like thanks, sure thing? And she’s reflecting on his words about escaping the burden of danger and she’s like yeah, but the thought of going back in there[the palace]… And he’s like who asked you to come back, did I ask you to marry? There’s no need to worry about marrying me because I’ll go about this the proper way, this time, and [go through the formal selection of brides through candidate filtering]. She’s like
! because she’s imagining him prancing around with all these women hanging onto him and he’s auditioning the women to be his bride. She’s peeved at this thought. blahbalbh more stuff like this and he sets her down on her bed and tells her to rest and leaves the room. She’s yelling at him and is like who the heck does that [formal audition of brides thing] in this day and age! He has closed the door behind him and laughs to himself. Her mom meets him outside the room and basically tells him not to visit Chae-kyung anymore and their family does not want to go back into the royal family circle and if he comes back to see Chae-kyung, again, she’ll take her daughter out of Korea.
Scene switch. Silly interaction between the old male and old female court servant.
Scene switch. A group of people from the palace are following Shin around and pleading with him. He signals with his hand for them to stop that (but they don’t). He has a flashback to when his father, the King, talked to him. Shin had started this meeting protesting saying but you know how Yul is etc. The King is going over his thoughts and how this is not simply an internal family matter but affects the extended family and the citizens. His father admits that he[the King] is not completely in the right, either. And that the previous father had declared that the extended royal family would be allowed to stay in the palace until each and every one of them has passed on. So, in the end, his father tells him he is letting Shin make the decision since it affects him completely. Flashback ends. The group is trying to make him read some rolled up letter (in a scroll) and is like what about the royal family members [the extended family] and they’re whining on and on until finally Shin gestures for them to stop and says who said that you will be kicked out of the palace? End of chapter.
its really getting boring! thank u very much for the update.
Yeah, good summary, but it is getting slow and dragging. I’m annoyed at a lot of the characters now.
It seems that they keep on repeating the same things, it’s getting dull.. Still, you made the effort to share and even write your own summary of it! Greatly appreciate your effort! Thanks!
Thank u so much for taking the time to write these summaries!!
I wonder how long the series will go on for…
